[Design Anthology Award Winner] Copper Rice Measuring Cup Jointly Developed by Design Studio SōI and Takahashi Shibori Kogyo

The copper rice measuring cup Crease, a collaboration between design studio SōI and Edogawa Collection selected partner Takahashi Shibori Kogyo, has been chosen as a winner of the Design Anthology Award 2024, which celebrates outstanding designers and products across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Design Anthology Award is organized by the interior design magazine Design Anthology, and recognizes creative leaders in global architecture, design, and product innovation.

The award-winning Crease is a copper measuring cup available in two types, one for polished and one for rinse-free rice. Each piece is handcrafted by Takahashi Shibori Kogyo’s artisans, finished by applying rice bran oil and polishing by hand to bring out the natural beauty of the copper and tool marks. The surface gradually deepens in color with use, allowing the owner to enjoy the evolving patina over time.
